was established and inaugurated on 13^thApril 2006 by Local MLA Mr. Hitendra Thakur.

Parampujya Swami Bagishanandji Maharaj & Shri Ajay Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai, had graced the occasion & performed evening Arati followed by their discourses.

On 13^th & 14 April Bhajan Kirtan was performed by various devotees & Groups. Sunday 15^th April 2006 was then celebrated for Bengali New Year with variety entertainment program

Morning         7:00AM to 12:00 Noon

Evening          5:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Every Amabashya day special pooja & Bhog is organized. On this occasion devotional song are renderd by singers from Mumbai & Vasai area.

This act of devotional song /Bhajan Kirtan will be extened for every day after evening Arati. All are invited to perform in this kali bari platform.

ABOUT US

Bengali community had a hand full of families in early 70’s. Just about 14 families in ’74 decided to have cultural festivals for the knowledge of local non Bengali population. Thus, started Saraswati Puja; goddess of learning in the year 1974. This was a small effort toward the passionate journey for Bengali culture. As the Bengali population started growing, the need to have an Association or Club was felt .BASSEIN BENGAL CLUB, thus was formed on 26^th Jan 1983 with the

 slogan of “Unity with Peace”

In the initial years various cultural programs were organized in small way. This included drama, song & recitation, Bengali New Year, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagor’s birthday etc. Sole purpose was to involve local non Bengali residence also and make them acquainted with our festivals and promoting Bengali culture.
